Early morning drive towards the Corinth Canal which connects the
Aegean with the Ionian Seas. Then on to Mycanea, the Homeric city of Atreides - the city
"rich in gold" of the ancient poets. Visit the Lions Gate, the Cyclopean Walls,
the Royal Tombs...Depart for Nauplion through the fertile plain of Argolis, the
picturesque town nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mightly rambarts of the
Palamidi Fortress. After lunch leave for Epidaurus the biggest open air theater in the
world famous for its acoustics. Return to Athens in the evening.

Drive thru the fertile plain of Boeotia, crossing the towns of
Thebes on to Levadia and Arachova famous for its colourful rugs and carpets. arrive at
Delphi the cente of the Ancient world whose prestige extended far beyond the boundaries of
the Hellenic world. On the slopes of mount Parnassus lie the ruins of
the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Visit the treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo
and the Museum containing masterpieces of ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer
and the famous athlete Aghias. Lunch is served in the modern village of Delphi, the return
to Athens via the same route.

rugs and carpets. After a short stop arrive at Delphi, the center of the ancient

majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. After a visit through

picturesque villages and towns of Central Greece. Dinner and overnight. On the second day
visit Meteora and enjoy a unique and most impressive scenery with ageless
Monasteries, containing priceless historical and religious treasures, standing between
earth and sky. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae and Kammena

Leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal. After a short stop
drive on and visit the famous theatre of Epidaurus. Drive on and visit Mycanae. Proceed to
the town of Nauplion, overnight. Then depart for Olympia through central
Peloponese,
Arcadia and the towns of Tripoli and Megalohori. Overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the
Olympic Games.
In the morning visit the Sanctuary of the Olympian Zeus and the Museum of Olympia. Drive
through the plains of Eliad and Achaia, through Patras, Capital of the Peloponese and take
the car-ferry across the "Little Dardanelles" from Rio to Antirio. Crossing the
picturesque towns of Nafpaktos and Itea arrive in Delphi. Overnight.
In the morning visit Castalia Spring and the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, the Sanctuary of
Apollo Pythios and the Museum. Depart for Kalambaka, passing through numerous picturesque
villages and typical towns of Central Greece. Stay overnight in Kalambaka. Visit
Meteora,
among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in
Mid-Air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite examples of Byzantine
Art. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae (visit the Leonidas' Monument).
